Video: IDX Green Equity Designation Launched, How Significant Will Its Impact Be?
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has officially announced the green-based stock constituents, known as the IDX Green Equity Designation, as part of a strategy to strengthen the sustainable finance ecosystem in Indonesia.
Salma Laiqa, an ESG Analyst at CNBC Indonesia Research, stated that the IDX Green Equity Designation is a green stock designation for companies that meet the green business criteria established by the IDX. However, the Green Equity Designation is not an investment product or an index, but rather a ‘green cap’ for green stocks, representing the IDX’s effort to integrate ESG concepts into the Indonesian capital market.
