Video: How the Ministry of Health Is Advancing the Health, Pharmaceutical, Vaccine and Medical Device Industry

Director General of Pharmacy and Medical Devices at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Lucia Rizka Andalucia, has outlined the government’s efforts to strengthen national pharmaceutical and medical device self-sufficiency through increased investment and by encouraging the strengthening of the domestic health industry ecosystem and production. The Ministry of Health is also ensuring that the development of health industry manufacturing promotes technology transfer and the mastery of high technology in the fields of medicines, vaccines and medical devices. This is also being implemented through regulatory strengthening by fulfilling the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) via research components to encourage the mastery of high technology in the health industry, including the optimisation of artificial intelligence (AI).
