Video: How the Industry Strengthens Public Engagement with Insurance

Ahead of ‘Insurance Day 2026’ on 18 October 2026, the Indonesian Insurance Council (DAI) is promoting education and literacy regarding the insurance industry to the Indonesian public, notably through the ‘Insurance Goes to Campus’ programme and initiatives targeting MSMEs.

The General Chair of the Indonesian Insurance Council, Yulius Bhayangkara, noted that university students and MSMEs represent customer segments that have not yet been widely reached by insurance services. This sector is also considered a vital component in developing insurance to face ‘Next Generation Insurance’.

It is hoped that strengthening insurance engagement with various segments of Indonesian society can drive a larger role for the insurance sector in Indonesia’s economic growth.
