Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The economic and geopolitical turmoil weighing on purchasing power poses a challenge to the performance of property sectors including MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and hospitality.
President Director of Pollux Hotels Group, Handojo Koentoro Setyadi, said Pollux Group, with its businesses in hotels, malls, apartments, industrial estates and landed housing, remains optimistic about facing a range of business challenges in 2026.
In 2025, Pollux Group recorded a 5% decline in hotel and apartment businesses, which stagnated due to purchasing power pressures, but mall and F&B businesses were able to register growth. In 2026, POLL still targets expansion of its hotel business from Cikarang to Semarang.
