Video: Fuel Prices Could Rise Due to War – General Try Sutrisno Passes Away

Jakarta – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has stated that domestic fuel prices have the potential to rise if tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate. This follows a 10 per cent surge in global oil prices after Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz in early March 2026.

In domestic news, retired General Try Sutrisno, Indonesia’s sixth Vice President, has passed away. The news was announced on Monday morning, 2 March 2026, by the communications team of the Association of Retired Army Officers (PPAD) following ongoing monitoring of his health condition at hospital.
