Video: Forest Business Owners Use Drones and CCTV to Prevent Land and Forest Fires

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Chairman of the Indonesian Forest Entrepreneurs Association (APHI), Soewarso, has revealed a series of security, prevention, and control efforts by forestry businesses in facing the threat of land and forest fires (Karhutla) occurring in Sumatra, Java, and Kalimantan in 2026. APHI is collaborating with the plantation sector, such as the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI), as well as with central and regional governments in efforts to prevent and handle land and forest fires. APHI is maximising the use of government applications to identify hotspots, strengthened by the use of drones, CCTV technology, fire watchtowers, and early detection systems.
