Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Indonesian government’s continued commitment to accelerating the national energy transition is boosting the development of logistics business transformation towards the concept of ‘green logistics’ through the use of electric vehicles (EVs).

Dash Electric, a logistics start-up, is capitalising on this by providing green infrastructure in the form of electric vehicles to support logistics needs reaching rural areas.

Dash Electric CEO Aditya Brahmana said the potential for EV use in rural areas is considerable, given that logistics systems in these regions are generally repetitive, with the same delivery points. This is highly suited to EV use in logistics, which requires high utilisation and predictable delivery ranges in line with battery capacity, amid limited public EV charging stations (SPKLU).

Nevertheless, there remain several challenges relating to SPKLU availability, charging times, spare parts supply, and limited supporting infrastructure for the EV ecosystem. So what is the strategy for developing EV logistics businesses in rural areas?

For the full discussion, watch Bunga Cinka’s dialogue with Dash Electric CEO Aditya Brahmana on AutoBizz, CNBC Indonesia (Tuesday, 20/07/2026).
