Video: Environment Minister Urges 74,000 Companies to Strengthen Environmental Capacity

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Environment is once again presenting the PROPER 2025 Environmental Awards with CNBC Indonesia, as an event to appreciate companies committed to sustainable business practices and environmental responsibility on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

Environment Minister/Head of the Environmental Control Agency, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, stated that the PROPER 2025 Environmental Awards are part of efforts to encourage the role of companies in maintaining and protecting the environment.

The Ministry of Environment is inviting around 74,000 business units to improve Indonesia’s environmental management capacity by following environmental regulations. The ministry will freeze environmental approvals for companies, including mineral extraction mining businesses, that cause environmental damage.
