Video: Entrepreneurs Need Not Worry, BPS Guarantees Confidentiality of SE2026 Data
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, has affirmed BPS’s commitment to maintaining the confidentiality, security, and protection of data and information in the 2026 Economic Census, safeguarded by Law No. 16/1997 on Statistics and Law No. 27/2025 on Personal Data Protection.
In the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), to be conducted from 1 May to 31 August 2026 across Indonesia, BPS is applying Information Security Management Systems in accordance with BSSN Regulation No. 4/2021. Additionally, BPS has been certified under ISO 27001:2022 since 2023 for implementing a centralised authentication system and has undergone audits on storage encryption to ensure secure access and data for SE2026.
One of the new economic activity data collections in SE2026 relates to the digital economy, such as online trading transactions, up to capturing economic activities in households like content creators and social media influencers.
