Video: Energy Ministry Spokesman Urges Indonesians Not to Fall for Hoax, Fuel Stocks Sufficient
Jakarta — Amid the Iran-United States conflict, the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry spokesperson Dwi Anggia has assured the nation that Indonesia’s current energy reserves exceed the minimum national energy reserves standard of 21 days with sufficient supplies.
The ESDM has urged the public not to fall for hoaxes regarding Indonesia’s fuel stocks, as reserves of fuel, liquified petroleum gas, and electricity remain secure with no shortages. However, the government has called upon Indonesians to remain prudent and efficient in their energy consumption.
Looking ahead, the Indonesian Government targets strengthening energy reserves, particularly national fuel stocks, to the equivalent of 90 days through the development of storage facilities expected to be completed within three years. In addition, ESDM is promoting domestic oil and gas production by reactivating idle wells and community wells.
