Video: Empowering MSMEs through Branch Networks and Digitalisation
The President Director of Bank Kalteng, Maslipansyah, has confirmed the Regional Development Bank’s (BPD) support for OJK directives regarding the adjustment of the Bank’s Business Plan (RBB) to align with priority government programmes. Bank Kalteng’s business focus is directed towards supporting flagship government initiatives through financing for MSMEs, the education sector, healthcare, and community welfare.
Specifically for MSME financing, Bank Kalteng has implemented three main strategies: strengthening local-based ecosystems that connect MSMEs with regional supply chains in agriculture, trade, and construction, as well as the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives. Furthermore, Bank Kalteng is driving MSME progress by upgrading KUR (People’s Business Credit) customers to commercial financing, while strengthening digitalisation and mentoring to simplify transaction recording for MSMEs. Bank Kalteng is also developing local-based products and strengthening its network of 14 branch offices and 379 service units.
Bank Kalteng remains optimistic regarding post-Eid financing trends, noting a shift in focus from household consumption to productive activities, which is driving an increase in working capital credit demand. The leading financing sectors in Kalteng include wholesale and retail trade, construction and infrastructure, as well as agriculture and plantations.
