Video: Eid Shopping Discount Festival 2026, Targeting Rp53 Trillion in Transactions

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The government is confident that consumer spending during Eid al-Fitr 2026 will increase and become the main driver of economic growth in the first quarter of this year. Through the Belanja di Indonesia Aja (BINA) Lebaran 2026 programme, the government targets total transactions reaching Rp53.38 trillion, or about 20% higher than the previous year. The Belanja di Indonesia Aja (BINA) Lebaran 2026 programme runs for 25 days from 6 to 30 March 2026. This programme is a form of cooperation between the government and retailers to boost transactions during the Ramadan and Eid period. In addition to the Belanja di Indonesia Aja (BINA) Lebaran 2026 programme, the government has also disbursed a number of stimulus measures in the first quarter of 2026; social assistance remains one of the main instruments, including rice and cooking oil distribution to the public.
