Video: Danantara Reveals Direction of Asset Management Restructuring at Danareksa
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Chief Operating Officer of BPI Danantara and Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Body, Dony Oskaria, presented the performance achievements of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara since its inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto on 24 February 2025.
BPI Danantara is consolidating state-owned enterprise asset management, which will be connected to banking that serves as its distribution channel, thereby creating a solid asset management structure. One element of this is the transformation of Danareksa, which has more than 50 subsidiaries, into Danareksa Investment. Additionally, Danantara is forming an industrial estate holding through an industrial estate ecosystem so that its revenue sources are not solely derived from land leasing.
In the banking sector, Danantara has transformed Bank Himbara through strengthening and uniform naming within the Bank Himbara organisational structure. Business analysis has also been carried out by strengthening sources of business and asset growth.
One example is the reform of Bank BRI, which focuses on the micro sector, while the commercial and corporate sectors have not grown. Improvements are therefore being made by reducing the cost of funds. In addition, BRI’s leadership is being filled with individuals who have the capacity and capability suited to the needs of business reform.
Danantara also praised the successful transformation of BNI and Bank Mandiri, which are led by competent future-oriented bankers, enabling them to record strong performance for Indonesian state-owned banking.
