Chief Operating Officer of BPI Danantara and Head of the SOE Regulatory Body, Dony Oskaria, has reported on the performance achievements of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara since it was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto on 24 February 2025.

BPI Danantara is intended to serve as the engine of Indonesia’s economic growth. In carrying out this mandate, Danantara operates under two pillars: Danantara Asset Management, which acts as a consolidator and operational holding company for state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and Danantara Investment Management, which functions as a developer of investment funds.

In managing SOEs, Danantara has conducted a review of 1,074 state-owned companies, of which 52% are loss-making and inefficient, resulting in losses of up to Rp 50 trillion per year. This is being addressed through four measures: liquidation, divestment, consolidation and restructuring. By the end of 2026, the number of SOEs is expected to be reduced to 254 solid and profitable companies.

How is the reform of state-owned enterprises progressing under BPI Danantara? Watch the full discussion between Andi Shalini and Chief Operating Officer of BPI Danantara and Head of the SOE Regulatory Body, Dony Oskaria, on Squawk Box, CNBC Indonesia (Wednesday, 26 August 2026).
