Video: DAI and ARSSI Unveil Health Insurance 'Risk Sharing' Scheme
During the Health Insurance Ecosystem Forum 2026, held under the theme ‘Reorganising the Health Insurance Ecosystem: New Regulations, Cost Control, and Service Model Transformation’, industry stakeholders gathered to find solutions for accelerating the transformation of Indonesia’s health insurance industry. Iing Ichsan Hanafi, Chairman of the Indonesian Private Hospital Association (ARSSI), highlighted that rising healthcare costs and surging medical inflation are significantly impacting approximately 3,200 hospitals. Meanwhile, Yulius Bhayangkara, Chairman of the Indonesian Insurance Council (DAI), noted that the spike in medical inflation, which has driven up insurance claims, remains a primary challenge for the industry. Consequently, insurers are preparing products designed to accommodate the needs of the insurance sector, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and BPJS Kesehatan by strengthening the overall healthcare ecosystem.
