The Central Java Provincial Government has ensured its support for President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programme to drive national economic growth to 8% by 2029. The Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, stated that a key element for local governments in driving economic growth is the collaboration between the Central Java Provincial Government and its 35 regencies and cities, fully integrated with the provincial administration.

This initiative involves mapping flagship regional products and increasing investment despite fiscal constraints and global geopolitical volatility. The Central Java Provincial Government is offering several incentives for investors, including guarantees of security and legal certainty, streamlined licensing processes, and the preparation of human resources through vocational education to enhance the competitiveness of the local workforce.

Central Java is also continuously developing economic and manufacturing corridors along the northern coastal region (Pantura) through integrated industrial zone projects, including the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate, the Kendal Special Economic Zone (KEK), and the Wijayakusuma and Terboyo Industrial Estates. These steps are supported by the strengthening of supporting infrastructure, including the Giant Sea Wall project.

Furthermore, Central Java aims to develop 12 new industrial areas, spanning from Cilacap and Demak to Sragen, to serve as new economic drivers and promote regional economic equality.
