Data has become a valuable asset amidst the growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), yet the fragmentation of data, or data silos, remains a challenge for organisations aiming to utilise data to support business decisions. Despite this, the disparity in digital infrastructure between regions, along with the large population and volume of data, continues to pose challenges for data management in Indonesia. Data silos occur alongside digital adoption, where data becomes attached to each application as it is built, creating fragmentation. In the AI era, which demands that every application be connected, data from each application must be synchronised in real-time. Confluent’s innovation is therefore present to connect these data silos so they can be linked in real-time.
