Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Secretary General of the Indonesian Cocoa Association, Jason Sutjiawan, is optimistic about the prospects for exporting Indonesian processed cocoa products following the opening of markets in the US and EU after trade agreements have been reached.

In efforts to explore export market prospects for Indonesian processed cocoa, the industry continues to strive to increase cocoa bean production while developing processing facilities or grinding capabilities. It is planned that by 2027, 240,000 hectares of cocoa plantations will be revitalised to boost Indonesia’s upstream cocoa sector production.
