Video: Beyond Electricity, PGE Expands into Green Hydrogen and Canaya Coffee
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Director of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk, Ahmad Yani, has affirmed PGE’s commitment as a subsidiary of Pertamina Power Indonesia in the geothermal sector to enhance the business potential and supply chain of geothermal energy in the country. PGE has three geothermal development strategies through ‘managing based’ by maintaining existing assets so they can operate optimally. Additionally, PGE is implementing a ‘growth strategy’ as well as a ‘new stream revenue’ strategy through geothermal business innovation beyond electricity. PGE is targeting an increase in geothermal electricity capacity to 1.8 GW by 2034 while exploring new business opportunities from the geothermal supply chain, including through green hydrogen projects as well as the development of canaya coffee and green industry.
