Bernadus Widjaya, Chief Executive Officer of Sucor Sekuritas, stated that the banking sector is one of the sectors that has the potential to strengthen again and warrants attention. Currently, banking valuations are very low, including big-cap banks, with an average P/E ratio below 10 and a potential dividend yield of more than 10%, making them quite attractive.

Additionally, the commodities sector possesses growth potential in line with the rise in crude oil prices, which is driving up the prices of commodities including coal and copper. On the other hand, the sector related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents opportunities, given that stocks in this sector continue to grow in the US, Korea, and Japan.

Regarding the interest rate policies of the US Central Bank, the Fed is heavily influenced by the release of US inflation data; if it continues to decline and reaches the Fed’s inflation target, there is potential for rates to be held steady. Meanwhile, for Bank Indonesia, the potential for a reduction in the BI Rate is closely linked to the development of foreign fund flows, the position of the Rupiah exchange rate, and the Fed’s policies.
