Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, addressed energy pricing policies in the country amid rising global crude oil and aviation fuel prices. Airlangga assured that subsidised fuel prices will not increase until the end of 2026, as long as the average world crude oil price remains above USD 97 per barrel. Meanwhile, regarding global aviation fuel prices in Indonesia, which reached Rp23,000 as of 1 April 2026, to ensure business continuity and affordability of air tickets, the government is adjusting the fuel surcharge upwards to 38%, with maximum air ticket price increases of 9-13%.
