Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Executive Director of the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI), Emira E. Oepangat, has assured AAJI’s commitment to ensuring consumer protection for insurance policyholders, including cases of mis-selling in unit-linked insurance or PAYDI (Investment-Linked Insurance Products). Therefore, AAJI is pushing for improvements in the quality and capabilities of insurance agents while enhancing insurance literacy among the public to address mis-selling cases. On the other hand, AAJI also supports steps to develop the insurance industry through revisions to the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK), one of which concerns co-payments for vehicle insurance up to QR codes for insurance agents to verify their legitimacy.
