Victim's Parents Disappointed, Difficult to Contact Terra Drone After Fire That Killed 22 People

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The parents of a victim from the fire at PT Terra Drone Indonesia’s office expressed disappointment towards the company’s management during the trial at the Central Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/4/2026). Mulyati, the mother of the deceased victim Muchamad Apriyana, stated that she found it difficult to contact the drone service provider company. However, Mulyati wanted to arrange compensation for her grandchildren who have now become orphans. “I beg you, I am disappointed with PT Terra, it’s very difficult to contact them. I even came to Bandung (branch office), my letter was not responded to. That’s the essence of my disappointment,” Mulyati said during the trial on Wednesday. “In the future, I have two young grandchildren. I want it to be according to my two grandchildren,” Mulyati continued. “Please, PT Terra, understand my grief, they just say ‘Ma’am this, Ma’am that’ and that’s it. I wouldn’t be disappointed, right?” she added. Mulyati said her late son had only been working at PT Terra for eight months before he died in the fire. Based on information from the forensic doctor, Mulyati learned that her son died due to a work accident during the Terra Drone office fire. After the fire on 9 December 2025, four company representatives visited Mulyati’s home to offer condolences for her son’s death. “At 23:00 WIB, there were about four people. Two from Japan, and the other two from PT Terra company,” she added. Michael Wishnu’s legal representative, Triana Seroja Dewi, denied this. She said PT Terra Drone Indonesia had assisted with the funeral and provided compensation to the family. According to Triana, the amount of compensation varied. It was calculated based on the length of service and the salary of each deceased employee. “(The nominal amount) perhaps later, sorry because this is still in the trial process.
