Victim's family rejects military prosecutor's claim that bank branch manager's murder was unplanned

Military Prosecutor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung stated on Monday (18/5) that three members of the Indonesian Army, defendants in the kidnapping and murder of State-Owned Bank branch manager Muhammad Ilham Pradipta, were not proven to have committed premeditated murder. However, the legal counsel for the victim’s family maintains that, based on the evidence presented during the trial, the three defendants should be charged under the article for premeditated murder, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
