Victims united under the Paguyuban Lender Dana Syariah Indonesia (PDLSI) have expressed their appreciation for the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) in handling the case of PT Dana Syariah Indonesia. PDLSI Chairman Achmad D Pitoyo stated that handling a case with a large number of victims and a high level of complexity requires considerable time, thoroughness, and hard work. “We extend our highest appreciation and respect to Bareskrim Polri, particularly the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes, for the professionalism, dedication, and hard work shown in investigating the alleged fraud at PT DSI,” Achmad said in a statement on Saturday (27/6/2026). According to Achmad, the investigators’ efforts in gathering evidence, tracing assets, and uncovering the case are a form of dedication that deserves recognition. He assessed that Bareskrim’s actions demonstrate a commitment to providing legal certainty, protecting public interests, and enforcing the law against economic crimes that harm many parties. “We respect the ongoing legal process and hope that all stages are carried out transparently, objectively, professionally, and fairly until a legally binding decision is reached. Public trust in law enforcement will be stronger if the process adheres to the principle of due process of law,” he said. PDLSI also hopes that the recovery of victims’ rights remains a key focus in the law enforcement process, particularly through optimising the tracing, seizure, and return of assets in accordance with statutory regulations. “Our hope is that every victim can obtain the maximum return of their rights based on legal provisions and a court decision that has permanent legal force,” Achmad added. He noted that for the victims, the funds placed were not merely financial value but the result of hard work, savings, and efforts accumulated over many years. The victims placed their funds with the belief that they were transacting through a scheme believed to be compliant with Sharia principles. “Hopefully, the successful uncovering of this case will not only provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators but also become a momentum to deliver real justice through the optimal restoration of victims’ rights in accordance with applicable law,” he said. Separately, the Director of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Pol Ade Safri Simanjuntak, confirmed that investigators are continuously optimising and intensifying asset tracing in this case. “We are coordinating with PPATK, OJK, as well as other agencies and institutions, including Korlantas and BPN, in order to optimise the recovery of victims’ losses through asset recovery in the PT Dana Syariah Indonesia case,” Ade Safri asserted. Since the investigation began in October 2025, the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri has seized assets with an estimated value of more than Rp 300 billion. The tracing was conducted using a follow-the-money approach to pursue financial trails and suspicious transactions in order to uncover assets suspected to be linked to the proceeds of crime. The seized assets include movable assets, immovable assets, receivables, deposits, cash, and account balances. The details include 11 immovable assets comprising offices, shop houses, residential houses, apartments, land and buildings, and vacant plots spread across DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, and North Sumatra, with a total value of approximately Rp 143 billion. In addition, investigators also seized 642 land title certificates in the form of SHM and SHGB belonging to PT DSI borrowers with a mortgage value of approximately Rp 153 billion, 13 deposits belonging to PT DSI and PT Multiguna Cipta Mandala with a total value of around Rp 18 billion, cash and account balances of around Rp 7 billion including funds in foreign currency amounting to USD 1,092, as well as four motor vehicles with an estimated value of around Rp 500 million. In this case, Bareskrim has named five suspects, namely TA as the President Director and shareholder of PT DSI, MY as a former director and shareholder of PT DSI, ARL as a commissioner and shareholder of PT DSI, AS as the founder of PT DSI, and FH who was recently named a suspect for alleged involvement in fraud and money laundering. The case files and three suspects—TA, MY, and ARL—along with evidence were handed over to the Public Prosecutor on 9 June. Meanwhile, the case files for suspect AS, suspect FH, and the corporate suspect under a split mechanism are still being processed simultaneously.
