Victim Confronts Alleged Sexual Harassment on Bogor-Jakarta City KRL; Perpetrator Sought via CCTV
A case of sexual harassment has occurred again on a commuter train (KRL). A woman confronted a man accused of committing harassment.
The incident was recorded by the victim and the video went viral on social media. The victim recorded the video to obtain evidence of the sexual harassment committed by the perpetrator.
The incident occurred on the KRL line between Bogor and Jakarta Kota on Monday, 9 March at approximately 06:30 WIB. The victim reported that the KRL was heavily crowded at the time.
She stated that the perpetrator committed harassment by rubbing sensitive areas, touching her hips and buttocks, and placing his hand inside her clothing. The victim eventually confronted the perpetrator whilst recording a video.
However, in the video, the perpetrator denied committing sexual harassment. The perpetrator pretended to be unaware of the sexual harassment that occurred. The victim was heard crying shortly after confronting the perpetrator.
