Jakarta — Television presenter and public figure Vicky Prasetyo has once again attracted public attention, this time over allegations of embezzling Rp700 million in funds purportedly intended as political capital for a regional head candidacy.

The accusation was filed by a woman named Nunun Lusida, who claims to have suffered material losses amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Nunun outlined the chronology of the alleged incident, explaining that the funds were originally provided as support for her former husband’s planned candidacy in a regional political contest.

At the time, Prasetyo allegedly promised a strategic position for Nunun’s ex-husband in the regional head election in West Bandung Regency.

According to Nunun’s account, Prasetyo requested Rp700 million sourced from her retirement savings. The money was handed over in the belief that it would be used as part of the candidacy process.

“At that time, Vicky asked me for Rp700 million. He promised to pair my husband as his running mate for the deputy regent candidacy in West Bandung Regency,” Nunun said.

Nunun stated that she initially felt confident because Prasetyo had promised the funds would only be borrowed for three days and would be returned promptly.

However, to this day, the promised repayment has not materialised. Moreover, the candidacy plan that had been touted never came to fruition.

“To this day, the money has not been returned. In the end, my legal counsel and I sent a formal warning letter, and we wished to resolve this amicably. However, Vicky Prasetyo has shown no good faith. To this day, to this very moment, the money has not been returned to me,” Nunun explained.

Furthermore, Nunun revealed that the matter has also affected her personal life. The failure of the promised candidacy and the financial dispute are said to have triggered a breakdown in her marriage, ultimately leading to her husband filing for divorce.

Nunun has attempted to communicate with Prasetyo to seek accountability, but claims she has received only promises without any certainty.

Feeling aggrieved, Nunun ultimately brought the matter before the law. A formal report has been filed with the Cimahi Police, accompanied by evidence including screenshots of conversations and proof of fund transfers.
