Vickers eyes one more firm

JAKARTA (JP): PT Vickers Ballas Tamara, a joint venture securities company, expects to underwrite at least two initial public offerings (IPO) this year.

The senior corporate finance manager of Vickers Ballas Tamara, Isamat Dalimunthe, said yesterday the company expected to underwrite another company in the second half of the year.

The securities firm is 35 percent owned by Vickers Ballas Holding Ltd, 15 percent by Singapex Investment Private Limited, 25 percent by Bank Tamara of Indonesia and 25 percent by Sukandamulia Prakarsa. It is also underwriting integrated chemical firm PT Eterimdo Wahanatama.

Dalimunthe said the company aimed for "one IPO in the first semester and one in the second semester".

He said the company wanted to become one of the top 20 securities firms this year. Last year it entered the top 30 securities in terms of volume. (09)
