Vice President's Special Staff Meets Jokowi, Tina Talisa: I Discussed IKN
The development of the Nusantara Capital (IKN) has once again become a focus during the Eid al-Fitr visit conducted by Tina Talisa, Special Staff to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, with Joko Widodo in Solo, Central Java, on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
The meeting was not only an occasion for greetings but was also utilised to discuss the continuity of this national strategic project, including the IKN development, which the government continues to promote.
The IKN development project itself has been assured to continue under the Prabowo Subianto administration, even with acceleration. The government has also prepared a budget of Rp48.8 trillion for the 2025–2029 period as a form of commitment to the project.
Tina assessed that the success of IKN’s development greatly depends on the support and unity of all elements of the nation.
“I also discussed IKN with Mr Jokowi earlier. My last visit to IKN was on 21 January 2026 as a follow-up to the Vice President’s instructions to encourage us from the Vice President’s Secretariat to take turns working in the IKN area. This step also affirms the government’s seriousness in realising IKN as Indonesia’s new government centre,” she stated.
Special Staff to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Tina Talisa, conveyed that her visit along with one of the other special staff was part of efforts to strengthen national relations while conveying various recent developments.
“Alhamdulillah, today we, representing the Vice President’s special staff, including our senior Mr Suwardi and myself, are present to extend Eid greetings to the seventh president, Mr Jokowi,” said Tina in her statement in Jakarta on Thursday (26/3/2026).
The visit took place on Wednesday (25/3/2026) at Jokowi’s residence. Of the four special staff to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, only Tina and Suwardi attended the meeting in person.
According to Tina, the atmosphere of the meeting was warm and familial, while also serving as a moment to convey Eid al-Fitr greetings.
“And earlier, we conveyed our apologies for any shortcomings, Eid greetings,” she said.
On that occasion, Jokowi also delivered an important message regarding the state of the nation, particularly the importance of maintaining unity amid existing dynamics.
“His message was that we all continue to maintain unity, harmony, and hopefully we are all always in good health physically and spiritually; that is the most important,” said Tina.
