Vice President Prays at Istiqlal Mosque with Jan Ethes and Ministers

Based on observations by ANTARA at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta on Saturday, Vice President Gibran arrived at the mosque at 06:47 WIB and immediately sat with his son Jan Ethes. Accompanying Vice President Gibran were several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet who performed prayers at Istiqlal Mosque, including Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, as well as MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani. This year, President Prabowo Subianto spent the takbiran night in North Sumatra on Friday (20/3) evening, then performed Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh on Saturday (21/3). However, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the Presidential Palace in Jakarta will be opened to the general public for halal bihalal activities during Eid al-Fitr 1447 H on Saturday. “At the Palace, in the afternoon, we are preparing halal bihalal and silaturahim for all members of the public who wish to visit,” said Teddy in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday (20/3). Teddy explained that the event is planned to run from afternoon to evening with a capacity of around 5,000 people. The attending public, he said, will be served in shifts.
