Vice President Opens 17th National Farmers and Fishermen Week in Gorontalo

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, accompanied by Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail, and House of Representatives member Rachmat Gobel, symbolically opened the 17th National Farmers and Fishermen Week 2026 at the David Tony Sports Hall in Gorontalo on Saturday. During the event, which was attended by 13,000 farmers and fishermen from all over Indonesia, the Vice President asserted that farmers and fishermen are the frontline defenders in realising national food self-sufficiency. The Vice President also toured an exhibition of agricultural and fishery technology.
