Try Sutrisno, Indonesia’s sixth Vice President, passed away at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto Hospital in Central Jakarta on Monday morning, 2 March 2026, at approximately 06:58 Western Indonesia Time.

Alongside Jusuf Kalla and Ma’ruf Amin, several cabinet ministers from the Red and White Cabinet attended the funeral prayers. These included Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy, and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

Other notable figures also attended the condolences at Masjid Agung Sunda Kelapa, including PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto, PDIP Central Executive Board Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat, and Indonesian Parliament (MPR) Chairman Ahmad Muzani.
