Vice President Makes Impromptu Visit to Fire-Affected School in Gorontalo
While en route to inspect the Bulango Ulu Dam on Friday, the Vice President received information about SDN 07 Bulango, which had suffered a fire in 2022, and decided to take swift action by directly reviewing the school’s condition. The Vice President wished to ensure the recovery process is proceeding well so that teaching and learning activities can take place optimally. This inspection is also in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to strengthen the quality of human resources through the provision of adequate and equitable educational facilities across Indonesia. During the visit, the Vice President inspected the condition of classrooms and school support facilities, and engaged in dialogue with teachers regarding the development of the learning process after the fire. Various outstanding needs were also noted so that they can be promptly followed up by the relevant agencies. The Vice President’s unexpected presence brought a special morale boost for the teachers and students. The government hopes the recovery of SDN 07 Bulango can be continuously accelerated so that all students obtain a safe, comfortable learning environment that optimally supports their growth and development. After the school inspection, the Vice President then continued his journey to the Bulango Ulu Dam to ensure progress on the completion of this national strategic project. In accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive, the inspection was carried out to ensure the acceleration of one of the national strategic projects projected to strengthen food security, reduce flood risk, and meet raw water needs in the Gorontalo region.
