Jakarta (ANTARA) – Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka greeted the arrival of President Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Friday.

The Head of State had just completed a series of official visits to the United States, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates.

As reported on Friday, the presidential aircraft Garuda Indonesia-1 carrying the President and his delegation landed amidst heavy rain that pounded the capital.

Besides the Vice President, those welcoming the President’s arrival included State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

During his visit to the United States on 19–21 February 2026, President Prabowo attended the inaugural Board of Peace summit in Washington DC. In the meeting, Indonesia reaffirmed its position in supporting the realisation of peace in Palestine. He stated that he had studied President Trump’s 20-point initiative within the BoP and believed that peace in Palestine could be achieved.

Subsequently, President Prabowo held a bilateral meeting with United States President Donald Trump. The two discussed reciprocal tariff agreements that had long been under negotiation. The outcome saw both heads of state sign the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART), which is advantageous for both nations, with Indonesia securing zero per cent tariffs for 1,819 domestic products in the US market, including key commodities such as palm oil, coffee, cocoa, and electronic components.

Following this, on Monday (23/2), President Prabowo witnessed the signing of a framework agreement between Indonesia’s Investment Management Agency Danantara Indonesia (BPI Danantara) and Arm Limited in London, England. Arm controls approximately 96 per cent of chip technology for the global automotive sector and nearly 94 per cent of chip designs for data centres and artificial intelligence. Through this cooperation, Indonesia aims to accelerate mastery of strategic technologies that have long served as the foundation for various modern digital innovations.

On Wednesday (25/2), President Prabowo arrived at Marka Military Airport in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II, discussing the question of peace in Palestine, Indonesia’s participation in the Peace Council, and incidents occurring in the West Bank region. The two leaders also discussed further steps to maintain the momentum for peace and promote regional stability.

Jordan holds a strategic position as one of the principal gateways for humanitarian aid via land, sea, and air routes, making close coordination essential for ensuring the effectiveness of aid distribution and supporting de-escalation efforts.

Subsequently on Thursday (26/2), President Prabowo visited the United Arab Emirates. He was received by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ). The meeting was part of President Prabowo’s working visit to strengthen the developing strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE, which has been expanding rapidly in recent years.
