Vice President Gibran Sends Off 1,900 Participants in Free Mudik Journey by Danareksa 2026
JAKARTA – Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka formally sent off participants in the Mudik Bersama (Joint Homecoming) programme of BUMN Holding Danareksa 2026, involving 1,900 participants from 475 households originating from the Greater Jakarta region, at the Danareksa office compound on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
According to observations at the location, around 11:00 AM, Gibran first met the homebound travellers inside the buses and conversed with them before departure.
“We pray for all the participants in this mudik journey to travel safely and reach their destinations. Please convey my regards to families in the village, thank you all, Minal Aidzin wal Faizin,” Gibran said inside the bus.
During the occasion, Gibran was accompanied by Acting Secretary to the Vice President Al Muktabar, Deputy Head of the BUMN Supervisory Board Aminuddin Ma’ruf, Chairman of BUMN Holding Danareksa A Helmy Faishal Zaini, and Chief Executive of BUMN Holding Danareksa Yadi Jaya Ruchandi.
“Be careful on the road. Look after your health, those with children be especially careful. Make sure you have eaten before departure. If you are exhausted, rest at rest areas,” he added.
The Mudik Bersama programme of BUMN Holding Danareksa this year involves 1,900 participants from 475 households from the Greater Jakarta region.
Apart from Jakarta, participants were also sent from several other cities, namely Medan, Semarang, Surabaya, and Makassar.
The organising committee arranged a total of 39 bus convoys to transport the travellers to various destinations on the island of Java, such as Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung.
Additionally, there were also destinations on the island of Sumatra, namely Padang Sidempuan, as well as on the island of Sulawesi towards the Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) and Bone regions.
Through this programme, the government, together with state-owned enterprises, hopes to assist the public in undertaking a more orderly, safe, and comfortable homecoming journey, while strengthening unity in welcoming the Eid holiday with family in their hometowns.
