Two students who were victims of the MBG poisoning incident in North Sumatra and were being treated at RSCM, Jakarta, have been permitted to return home by doctors. The planned discharge of Agnesia and Febiona was announced by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka after he visited them on Friday afternoon (18/09/2026).

“Alhamdulillah, today Agnesia and Febiona have been declared in good condition and are permitted to go home by the RSCM medical team,” the Vice President stated in a written statement received by CNBC Indonesia.

Gibran expressed his gratitude to the RSCM medical team treating Agnesia and Febiona, specifically naming Setyo Handryastuti, Tjhin Wiguna, Rinawati Rohsiswanto, Fatima Safira Alatas, and Kristiana Siste. He also extended his appreciation to the Ministry of Health, the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office, and all parties involved in the referral, treatment, and recovery process of the two students.

“This afternoon, Agnesia and Febiona, along with their families, are scheduled to return to their respective homes in North Sumatra. I hope their journey is smooth. I also hope that further monitoring and follow-up checks can continue as directed by the medical team. For Agnesia and Febiona, welcome home and continue your activities at school. Febiona Purba is a high school student and a victim of the MBG poisoning who had been moved back and forth to the hospital due to memory impairment. Meanwhile, Agnesia Paruliana suffered kidney impairment after becoming one of the victims of the MBG poisoning.
