Vice President Gibran Rakabuming conducted a working visit to the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Gorontalo, West Papua, Central Papua, and South Papua from 18 to 21 June 2026. Uniquely, Gibran also invited five students on the trip. They hail from the University of Indonesia (UI), Pelita Harapan University (UPH), Soedirman University (Unsoed), Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta, and the Bandung Institute of Arts and Culture (ISBI). The Vice President departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Operations Base in East Jakarta on Thursday morning WIB, heading to El Tari Airport in Kupang City, NTT. During the working visit, according to a written statement received by Republika from the Vice Presidential Secretariat, Gibran is scheduled to inspect the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme in Ende Regency, NTT. Additionally, the Vice President will review the development plan for the Merah Putih Village Cooperative and engage in dialogue with the community. Meanwhile, in Gorontalo Province, Gibran is scheduled to attend and open the XVII National Farmers and Fishermen Week (Penas) 2026. He will also inspect the Bulango Ulu Dam as one of the strategic infrastructures supporting food security and community welfare.
