BEKASI — Vice President Gibran Rakabuming inspected the traffic control centre at the Jasa Marga Toll Road Command Centre (JMTC) in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday (17 March 2026). He sought to ensure the readiness of the national transportation system ahead of the anticipated surge in public mobility during the Nyepi and Eid holiday breaks and exodus periods.

Gibran reviewed the current state of Jasa Marga’s preparations for managing the holiday traffic flows across various strategic points. He received briefings from JMTC’s operational directorate regarding the measures already implemented to ensure smooth and safe travel for the public.

The inspection was a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto’s directive that all stakeholders provide the best possible service to the public during the Eid holiday exodus period. Upon arrival, Gibran proceeded directly to the JMTC control room to verify that holiday traffic management was operating optimally.

From the control room, he monitored traffic conditions across various toll road sections using an integrated monitoring system. Gibran engaged in dialogue with field personnel through virtual meetings to ensure that traffic control efforts were working effectively across different regions.

“I saw that the reports were quite comprehensive, and the equipment being used here is also sufficiently advanced and all real-time. Especially now. Last year I came here, and this year there is already Travoy FM. I think this is very important, so colleagues can stay updated with information, for example about when one-way systems will be implemented and other matters,” Gibran said at the location on Tuesday.

Before departing JMTC, Gibran reiterated the importance of full readiness from all parties in maintaining smooth traffic flow during the holiday exodus, so that travellers could complete their journeys safely and comfortably.
