Vice President Gibran Inspects Post-Disaster Bridge Construction in Aceh

Vice President Gibran inspected the construction of the Krueng Tingkeum Bridge in Blang Kita, Bireuen Regency, Aceh. Bireuen was one of the areas affected by floods and landslides in November 2025. The Krueng Tingkeum Bridge is vital infrastructure necessary for the mobility of the Bireuen community. Currently, only a temporary bridge is available, which operates under a one-way traffic system. The Vice President urged the acceleration of the new permanent bridge’s construction to meet the target and restore normal access to the area. The new bridge is targeted for completion and operational use by the end of 2026. ‘The government continues to work optimally to accelerate infrastructure recovery and basic services in Aceh. However, I recognise that there is still work to be completed and challenges that need to be addressed. Therefore, I am open to any aspirations, input, or constructive criticism so that every step the government takes truly answers the needs of the community,’ said the Vice President.
