Vice President Gibran Expresses Condolences on the Death of Vidi Aldiano
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed condolences over the death of singer Vidi Aldiano on Saturday, 7 March. Gibran, via his personal Instagram account, @gibran_rakabuming, wrote a comment on Vidi Aldiano’s Instagram post, @vidialdiano. ‘We extend our deepest condolences. Indonesia has lost a young, talented artist whose works have brought colour, inspiration and new hope to the country’s arts scene,’ wrote Gibran. Gibran also stated that the late artist’s dedication to his craft in the arts will always be remembered: ‘The late artist’s dedication will always be remembered,’ he said. Gibran also turned CNN Indonesia’s post about Vidi Aldiano’s death into an Instagram Story on his account. Vidi Aldiano died on Saturday evening after battling cancer for six years. The sad news was conveyed by his family and several fellow musicians on social media. Posts by talk-show host and content creator Deddy Corbuzier on social media carried emotional messages addressed to singer Vidi Aldiano. A number of musicians and artists also posted condolences on Vidi Aldiano’s passing.
