Vibrant Togetherness: PLN UPDL Bogor Hosts Cooking Competition and Electric Stove Education

BOGOR - PT PLN (Persero) UPDL Bogor held a ‘Cooking Competition for Fried Rice’ followed by an Electric Stove Awareness session on Friday (24/4/2026). The event, held for Kartini Day 2026, was attended by staff representatives from various departments including PKU, Teaching, Procurement, K3L, Front Office, Admin HPI, Customer Service, technicians, Security, and Drivers.

The cooking competition began with a session on using electric stoves to educate participants on safe, practical, and efficient electricity use in daily life. This initiative is part of PLN’s efforts to support cleaner energy use and introduce the benefits of electrical appliances to employees.

The competition involved teams of two to three members preparing creative fried rice dishes using the provided electric stoves. The committee supplied cooking ingredients and main equipment such as electric stoves and woks, while participants could bring additional tools as needed. Judging criteria included taste, menu creativity, presentation, and team cohesion during cooking.

UPDL Bogor Manager Ahmad Ridani said the event aimed to foster a warmer work environment. “Through this activity, we aim to create a warmer and more spirited work atmosphere. Kartini’s values such as creativity, hard work, and collaboration inspire us to build a productive work culture within PLN,” Ridani said.

As part of appreciation for participants’ enthusiasm, prizes were awarded to winners. Beyond competition, the event strengthened team bonds and improved workplace relationships. PLN UPDL Bogor hopes this spirit of togetherness, creativity, and collaboration continues, aligning with General Manager of PLN Pusdiklat Y. Endah Cahyaningrum’s guidance to cultivate a positive, adaptive, and supportive work culture for sustainable excellence.
