Vibrant 27th Anniversary Celebration: Cilegon Mayor Officially Opens Cilegon Expo 2026
Serang (ANTARA) - The Mayor of Cilegon, Banten, Robinsar, officially opened the Cilegon Expo 2026 at the local town square on Friday (24/4) evening, with the event forming part of the celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of the province at the western tip of Java island.
In his remarks, Robinsar expressed gratitude for the successful organisation of the event and the enthusiasm of the community members present to jointly celebrate the founding of Cilegon City.
“Good evening, everyone. How are you all? Alhamdulillah, tonight we gather in a joyful atmosphere to liven up the 27th Anniversary of Cilegon City. On behalf of myself and the Cilegon City Government, we extend our thanks for the presence of all of you,” he said.
Furthermore, Robinsar stated that the age of 27 represents an important milestone for Cilegon City to continue developing towards better directions. “At 27 years old, it is an age that is sufficiently mature. This is a time to achieve progress and success. May Cilegon City advance further and its people become increasingly prosperous,” he added.
On that occasion, Robinsar also emphasised the importance of synergy between the government and the community in building the region. He conveyed that the Cilegon City Government is open to various inputs for collective progress.
“Cilegon City belongs to us all. We are very open to criticism, suggestions, and input. A government without community support is nothing. Therefore, we hope for prayers and support so that we can carry out this mandate with full responsibility,” he said.
In addition to serving as an entertainment venue, the Cilegon Expo also acts as a platform to encourage economic growth among the community, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM). Robinsar assessed that the event has a significant economic impact.
“Starting tonight until the climax on 27 April, there will be various entertainments, including performances by musicians such as Ebiet G. Ade and Denny Caknan. In the future, events like this will continue to be enhanced because they have a large multiplier effect, especially for UMKM,” he explained.
Meanwhile, one of the attendees, Rena Budiarti, expressed her hopes for the leadership of the Cilegon Mayor. “May you always succeed in guiding Cilegon City, and may Cilegon City become even better,” she stated.
The Cilegon Expo 2026 is expected not only to serve as an entertainment facility for the community but also to strengthen togetherness and drive local economic growth.
