The third National Conference (Munas) of Perempuan Pemimpin Indonesia (Perpina) concluded successfully, with Endraswari Safitri, known as Veve Safitri, re-elected by acclamation as General Chair. She received the full support of all Regional Leadership Councils (DPD) and Overseas Leadership Councils (DPLN). The conference, held in Jakarta on Thursday, was attended by the Chair of KOWANI, founders, the Board of Experts, the Advisory Board, central and regional board members, leaders of other women’s organisations, and strategic partners from across Indonesia.

Veve Safitri expressed her gratitude for the renewed trust, stating, “This trust is not a personal victory, but a mandate from the entire Perpina family that must be carried out with full responsibility, integrity, professionalism, and a spirit of service.” She stressed that after the conference, all differences of opinion should be set aside and members must unite to build Perpina into a solid, professional organisation that delivers real benefits to society and the nation.

For the upcoming leadership period, Perpina will prioritise organisational strengthening, women’s empowerment, leadership development, economic empowerment for women, and promoting environmental sustainability. These goals will be pursued through collaboration with the government, the business sector, academia, the media, women’s organisations, and other civil society groups. “Differences are a strength, not a reason for division. With synergy and a strong network, we can deliver impactful programmes and address the nation’s challenges,” Veve Safitri remarked. She also extended her appreciation to the Steering Committee, Organising Committee, all participants, and the central and regional boards for their hard work in ensuring the conference was a success, conducted in an orderly manner and with a strong sense of family. Special thanks were given to supporters including Fone, Thomas, Donahue, and the Katahati Institute for their commitment to strengthening women’s leadership in Indonesia. Perpina is a national organisation that brings together women leaders from various professions and regions, both within Indonesia and abroad, committed to strengthening women’s leadership through collaboration, innovation, economic empowerment, education, and sustainable development.
