The joyful faces of veterans were evident as they received aid for uninhabitable housing (rutilahu) and fogging equipment during the Halal Bihalal event of Pemuda Panca Marga (PPM) Jabar and the extended TNI family in Bandung on Friday (17/4/2026). The rutilahu aid for these veterans is valued at Rp 25 million per unit. PPM Jabar Chairman MQ Iswara stated that the extended TNI family, including the veterans, must receive attention from various parties. PPM Jabar and Kodam III Siliwangi, he said, have special attention for the veterans. Through this Halal Bihalal moment, they are striving to increase concern for the condition of the extended TNI family. “This activity is purely a Halal Bihalal, while also strengthening the bonds of the extended TNI family,” said Iswara, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the West Java Provincial DPRD, on Friday (17/4/2026). Iswara explained that the value of the rutilahu aid, Rp 25 million per unit, is adjusted to match the aid figure from the local government. In this instance, he revealed, the aid distribution is still symbolic. “Because data from the regions has not fully come in yet. We request that data collection be carried out for veterans with uninhabitable housing,” he added. Additionally, he said, the Pangdam III Siliwangi is also providing fogging equipment aid to anticipate dengue fever cases amid the potential for prolonged dry weather due to El Nino. Each region (regency and city), Iswara noted, is planned to receive one unit of fogging equipment. He emphasised that although the TNI’s socio-political function has been abolished, historical and familial relations must still be maintained. In the future, similar activities will continue to be held regularly, including joint activities to strengthen solidarity. Pangdam III/Siliwangi Major General TNI Kosasih stated that the activity is part of the development of the extended TNI family organisations in the West Java region, such as FKPPI, HIPAKAD, and PPM. “Today is a silaturahim event for the extended TNI family with Pangdam III Siliwangi. This is part of organisational development in the West Java region,” said Major General TNI Kosasih. According to him, the Shawwal momentum is utilised to strengthen kinship relations among all elements of the extended TNI family. “Alhamdulillah, we can engage in silaturahim in the Shawwal atmosphere. This is a momentum to strengthen togetherness,” he said.
