In this case, the three defendants are suspected of providing bribes totalling Rp63.15 billion to several officials at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. The bribes were intended to ensure that imported goods belonging to the Blueray Cargo Group could be released more quickly from customs supervision. In detail, the bribes included Singapore dollar currency equivalent to Rp61.3 billion, as well as entertainment facilities and luxury goods worth Rp1.85 billion. The customs officials suspected of receiving the bribes are Rizal, Orlando Hamonangan, Fillar Marindra, Sisprian Subiaksono, and Enov Puji. The Singapore dollar bribes were given on seven occasions to the five officials, while the gratuities included entertainment facilities worth Rp1.45 billion, a Tag Heuer watch worth Rp65 million for Orlando, and a Mazda CX-5 worth Rp330 million for Enov. The defendants face criminal charges under Article 605 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 606 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 20 letter c, in conjunction with Article 126 paragraph (1) of the National Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article VII numbers 48-49 of the Criminal Adjustment Law.
