PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JJC) recorded a 202% increase in vehicle volume heading to Jakarta on the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Toll Road (MBZ) during H+3 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026, or Tuesday (24/3). “A total of 64,573 vehicles heading to Jakarta were recorded, an increase of 202.53% compared to normal traffic of 21,344 vehicles,” said the President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, Hendri Taufik, in his statement on Wednesday (25/3). Hendri stated that this increase demonstrates the high volume of return traffic from the public following the Eid holiday. He noted that the surge in vehicle volume occurred from morning until evening. On the other hand, vehicles leaving Jakarta also experienced an increase. A total of 33,197 vehicles passed through, up 57.68% from normal traffic of 21,054 vehicles. “This shows that traffic movement is still occurring in both directions, although traffic heading to Jakarta dominates,” he said. Therefore, Hendri advised road users to manage their travel times well to avoid traffic congestion during the Eid return period. “Road users are expected to plan their travel times wisely, avoiding periods with high potential for congestion,” he stated. “And to prepare their journeys properly as well as to take advantage of the 30% toll discount on 26 and 27 March 2026 so that the trip remains smooth and comfortable,” he added.
