PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) reported that vehicle mobility on the Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Toll Road section began to ease on H-1 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, Friday (20/3). “Vehicle traffic movement on the MBZ Elevated Toll Road section began to ease on H minus 1 Eid compared to the previous few days,” said GM of Operations and Maintenance at PT JJC, Desti Anggraeni, in Bekasi, as quoted by Antara on Saturday (21/3). Based on the company’s daily data, the total volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta towards Cikampek via the MBZ Elevated Toll Road during that period was recorded at 30,955 vehicles. “This traffic condition decreased by -0.34 percent compared to normal traffic of 31,060 vehicles,” she explained. When viewed by time period, Desti added, vehicle movement outbound from Jakarta tended to be even throughout the day, both morning, afternoon, and evening, without significant increases like previous days. A decline also occurred in vehicle movement towards Jakarta. Recorded, the volume of vehicles heading to Jakarta was 14,340 vehicles, or down -40.69 percent compared to normal traffic of 24,177 vehicles. Overall, the total vehicles passing through the MBZ Elevated Toll Road section in both directions reached 45,295 vehicles. This condition reflects the beginning of reduced vehicle mobility ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Desti advised road users passing through the MBZ Elevated Toll Road section to always prioritise safety by ensuring the driver’s and vehicle’s condition is optimal and maintaining sufficient electricity or fuel. In addition, holiday travellers are urged to anticipate potential weather changes, especially rain, which can affect visibility and road surface conditions so that the journey can proceed safely and comfortably until reaching the destination. Road users can access the latest information or request toll road traffic services through the Jasa Marga Group’s 24-hour call centre at number 133, Twitter @PTJASAMARGA, and the Travoy 4.5 application for iOS and Android users.
