Vehicle volume on Cikatama Toll Gate to Jakarta decreases on H+7 of Eid al-Fitr
Karawang (ANTARA) - The volume of vehicles passing through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (Cikatama) in Karawang, West Java, heading towards Jakarta, decreased during the return flow on H+7 of Eid al-Fitr on Saturday (28/3) compared to the previous day.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that at 14:00 WIB in shift 1, the number of vehicles passing through the Cikatama GT towards Jakarta was 17,000 vehicles.
Meanwhile, on Friday (27/3) from shifts 1-3, a total of 87,000 vehicles were recorded passing through the Cikatama GT from the east towards Jakarta.
Ria stated that 28 and 29 March are the main focuses, projected to be the second peak of the Eid al-Fitr 2026 return flow.
Previously, the first peak of the Eid al-Fitr 2026 return flow occurred on 24 March with 106,000 vehicles passing through the Cikatama GT.
Previously, based on Jasa Marga data, the number of vehicles exiting Jakarta was recorded at 2,946,891 vehicles.
Meanwhile, vehicles entering Jakarta up to Saturday (28/3) morning were recorded at 2,561,629 vehicles.
“Overall, we see that we have passed the peak of the return flow, and there is only 13.07 percent left that we must face,” said Sigit.
