Vehicle Volume Increases During Return Flow, Jasamarga Implements One-Way on Main Cikampek Toll Road
Facing the high volume of vehicles during the return flow, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is optimising services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate as a crucial point for the return flow while supporting the implementation of local one-way traffic engineering gradually.
This implementation was officially opened by the Minister of Transportation, Dudy Purwagandhi, on Friday (27/3/2026).
Previously, the local one-way traffic engineering was implemented gradually starting from KM 132 of the Cikopo–Palimanan Toll Road section to KM 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road section at 08.47 WIB.
Ria stated that the traffic engineering is situational according to the discretion of the Police and will continue to be evaluated following developments in field conditions.
As a form of service optimisation, the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, as the final barrier receiving vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region, is currently operating 22 lanes to serve the flow of vehicles towards Jakarta.
“JTT will also continue to make situational adjustments to lane operations, including increasing capacity to 26 lanes to anticipate spikes in traffic volume,” said Ria.
“JTT fully supports the traffic engineering policies set by the Police to ensure that vehicle flow remains smooth and controlled,” she added.
“Along with the increase in traffic volume during the return flow period, we are also ensuring that on-site services remain optimal so that road users can experience a safe and comfortable journey,” Ria continued.
Ria emphasised that JTT will ensure operational readiness through optimisation of field personnel, maximum operation of toll lanes, and additional support for transaction services to speed up services at the toll gates.
In line with the implementation of this traffic engineering, Ria advised all Trans Java toll road users to anticipate their travel routes in advance, ensure the condition of vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, and prepare sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road.
“Road users are also expected to always obey traffic signs and follow the directions of field personnel for mutual safety and comfort,” Ria stressed.
