Vehicle volume entering Cikampek Main Toll Gate peaks on H-3 before Eid
Purwakarta (ANTARA) - The volume of vehicles from holiday travellers entering the Cikampek Main Toll Gate to head towards the Cikampek-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll in the direction of Central Java was recorded as peaking on Wednesday or H-3 before Eid 2026.
According to records from the Jasa Marga Trans Jawa Tol Office, on Tuesday (17/3) there were already 96,140 vehicles entering the toll gate within a 24-hour period or across three recording shifts. Meanwhile, the national one-way policy is currently in place.
On Wednesday, 86,836 vehicles were recorded entering the toll gate within just 15 hours. The figure for today is based on recordings from shift 1 and shift 2 only.
The toll gate experienced congestion at certain times, particularly during suhoor, morning, late afternoon before breaking the fast, and afterwards.
During iftar, several holiday vehicles pulled over to the roadside, temporarily causing queues.
When long queues formed, local Jasa Marga officers opened several toll booths to help smooth the flow towards the east.
West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan assured that his side would escort, monitor, and ensure that all vehicles passing through West Java, especially on that toll, are safe.
In addition, he urged holiday travellers to rest if the situation made driving no longer feasible. The police, he said, had also ensured security at several rest areas.
“Safe travels home, may you reach your destination safely. Safe mudik, happy family,” said Rudi during his inspection of the one-way implementation at the Cikampek Main Toll Gate on Wednesday.
